Pipe Organ, Piano Soloist

Crystal, is an accomplished soloist in her own right, having grades in theory of music, pipe organ and piano and has played for an array of concerts gala events and private functions, both classical and modern. Crystal has been an official accompanist for the Queensland Eisteddfod in Toowoomba and a music assistant for workshops and tuition with Opera Queensland, and is also well known in the music profession for her ability to assist young performers in preparing auditions. As well as accompanying for many local productions, Crystal is Vavachi’s official accompanist. Those who have the opportunity to listen to her will be impressed by her versatility and style.

Benjamin Drozdovskii

Piano Accompanist

Benjamin Drozdovskii is a professional musician and multi-instrumentalist – a pianist, violinist, piano accordionist, balalaika player, and composer. He has an Associate of Music Australia in violin, a Bachelor of Music Performance in Classical Piano, and a Graduate Certificate in Composition, the latter two being attained at the Queensland Conservatorium of Music.
As well as performing locally, Benjamin has toured Australia in a number of varied ensembles, including The Good Ship (Woodford Folk Festival, Illawarra Folk Festival) and Amy Michaels and the Good Time Girls (Adelaide Fringe Festival). He also performed on balalaika (a three-stringed Russian folk guitar) for a number of Russian-themed dinner evenings when the world-famous Russian Bolshoi Ballet Company was touring Brisbane.
Benjamin has for many years been involved (both on stage and in the orchestra on violin) with Brisbane’s professional music theatre company Harvest Rain Theatre Company, including such shows as Fiddler on the Roof, Oliver, Guys and Dolls, and many others which were performed at QPAC.
Benjamin is a professional accompanist, and has accompanied a wide range of instruments, including voice, and acquired a wealth of experience from accompanying in concerts, exams, and various other events. He is resident accompanist for two choirs: Sing Australia (Carina), and The Sound Collective, and performs with them regularly throughout the year.
He presently is leader and arranger of the string quartet Strings Actually, plays piano in Men in Jazz, as well as in The Recliners, a three-piece jazz, blues and soul band.
